On November 16, a delegation of six people from Veralto visited the School of Environment (SOE). The delegation included Ms. Melissa Aquino, Senior Vice President of Veralto and Group Executive of Veralto's Water Quality segment, Ms. Deborah Gonyea, Group Chief Financial Officer of Veralto's Water Quality segment, Mr. Qin Xiaopei, President of Veralto Greater China, Ms. Fang Xin, Chief Financial Officer of Veralto Greater China, Wu Rui, Senior Director of the Hach’s Service and Strategic Commercial Department, and Diao Huifang, Associate Strategic Marketing Director of Hach China. The delegation was welcomed by Wang Can, Chairman of SOE School Council, Xi Jingying, Vice Chairman of the School of Environment School Council, Professor Wu Jing from the Division of Water Environment, Associate Professor Wang Bin from the Division of Environmental Biology, and Assistant Professor Wang Dongbin from the Division of Air Pollution and Its Control, among others.
Meeting venue
Wang Can welcomed the delegation led by Melissa Aquino. He expressed that Hach, a subsidiary of Veralto, is an important collaborative partner for the School of Environment. He thanked Hach for 20 years of collaboration with the School of Environment, hoping for future enhanced communication, leveraging each other's strengths to further deepen cooperation in areas such as talent development and scientific research.
Xi Jingying provided an overview of the School of Environment, reviewing the cooperation history between the two in talent development, scientific research, and exchange and training programs over the past two decades. Qin Xiaopei introduced Veralto and its related businesses. He expressed that "Veralto" embodies the corporation's commitment to excellence and pursuit of higher goals and that Veralto will continue to provide reliable professional technology, assisting clients in addressing the most complex challenges.
Wu Jing presented advancements and practical applications of water quality fingerprint tracing technology in research projects. Wang Bin introduced environmental monitoring and risk assessment of emerging contaminants, while Wang Dongbin highlighted aerosol measurement techniques and their applications.
On that morning, the delegation from Veralto visited relevant laboratories at the school, including some at the Division of Air Pollution and Its Control, the Public Research Platform, and the Division of Environmental Chemistry.
