Prof. Venky Narayanamurti, the Director of the Science, Technology and Public Policy Program at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) and the former John L. Armstrong Professor and Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Dean of Physical Sciences, visited SOE on May 14th.

Of those who were presented at the welcome ceremony included Prof. Du Pengfei, Secretary of SOE Committee of CPC, Prof. Zuo Jian’e, Vice Dean of SOE, Prof. Wang Can, Dean of the Department of Environmental Planning and Management, Associate Prof. Jiang Jingkun from Division of Air Pollution Control and Associate Prof. Chen Chao from the Division of Drinking Water Safety.

During the ceremony, Prof. Du gave a brief introduction of the history and outline of SOE and Prof. Zuo delivered a general description of the program of “Global Environmental Genius Class” for undergraduates. All attendees extensively shared with each other on areas of personnel training, scientific research and international cooperation.
