The award ceremony of the Veolia Outstanding and Inovative Scholarship was held in the lecture hall of SOE on June 5.

Mr. Luc Zeller, Asian CEO of Veolia environmental group,and Prof. Yu Gang, Dean of SOE, delivered speeches respectively during the ceremony. After that, they jointly awarded the outstanding students. There were 8 comprehensive prizes, 80 individual excellence awards, and 3 impressive sports clubs.

Prof. Liu Jianguo, vice secretary of the SOE Committee of the CPC, presided over the ceremony. Ms. Zhang Hong, Vice-President of Veolia Environmental Services Asia, Ms. Justine Mora, Vice-President of Veolia Environmental Services China, and Prof. Zuo Jian’e, vice dean of SOE, also attended the ceremony.

This scholarship was initiated and sponsored by Veolia environmental group to encourage the personnel training in SOE. It is set for outstanding students from SOE in areas of science and technology inovation, research, community work, sport and arts. About 400 students have been awarded since its establishment 4 years ago.
