Six experts from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) inspected the innovation research group of the Multimedia Combined Pollution and Control Chemistry (MCPC) in SOE on October 15th.

Members of the inspection group include Yao Jiannian, Deputy Director of NSFC, Liang Wenping, Executive Deputy Director of the Department of Chemical Sciences and Wang Chunxia, Director of the Division of Chemical Sciences. Prof. Qiu Yong, Vice President of Tsinghua University, attended the welcome ceremony and delivered a speech. Around 20 professors from SOE, representatives of Tsinghua University and members of MCPC also attended the ceremony.

During the ceremony, Prof. He Kebin, Director of MCPC, introduced the achievements, development and the research plan of MCPC for the following three years. The expert group approved the contributions of MCPC. Yao Jianping evaluated the research plan of the MCPC and offeredsome advice and suggestions. After the report, the inspection group was taken around the labs of SOE.

MCPC received the support of NFSC in August, 2012. Since its establishment, MCPC has made much progress in its investigating of the chemical formation process of the PM2.5  and related combined pollution mechanisms.
