The 1st International Forum on the Development of Water Industry, jointly organized by the Yixing Industrial Park of Environmental Science and Technology and SOE, was held in Yixing on November 4th.

Senior officials from ministries, Tsinghua University, and Yixing government attended the ceremony. Kuo Liqiao,the Vice Director of the Department of Building Energy-saving and Technology in the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Liu Zhiquan , the Vice Director of the Department of Policies, Laws and Regulations in the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Cen Zhangzhi, former Vice President of Tsinghua University, Yu Gang, Dean of SOE, Wang Zhongsu, Party Secretary of Yixing Municipality, and Zhu Xufeng, Director of the Yixing Industrial Park of Environmental Science and Technology.

The forum attracted over 120 experts from Canada, USA, South Korea, Sweden and China. There were several topics in the forum, including the development strategy of the water industry in China, advanced technologies for drinking water safety and the management of wastewater resources and drainage systems, and the development and industrialization of water environment monitoring technology.
