Sino-New Zealand Total Amount Control Cooperation Workshop on Pollutants Reduction Technology and Policy for Livestock and Poultry Breeding (SZTACCW) was held in THU on June 30.

Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) of China and Ministry for the Environment (MFE) of New Zealand co-sponsored SZTACCW. Center for Technology and Policy Research of Pollutants Control and Environmental Quality Improvement, Tsinghua University and The Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand also co-hosted this conference. More than 60 Delegates from China and New Zealand attended.

Professor Chen Lujun from SOE, Group Leader of Chinese Experts in the Sino-New Zealand pollutants reduction project for livestock and Poultry Breeding, delivered a brief introduction of the project and its achievements. This was a key project in pollutants emission reduction cooperation between MEP and MFE. It aimed at improving the technology in controlling the waste discharge from livestock and poultry farms in China and completing the related management systems.
