Shanghai Alumni Association celebrated the THU’s 101st Birthday in the Shanghai International Convention Center on April 21. The 2012 THU East China Environmental Forum was held at the same time.

Chen Xu, Executive Deputy Secretary of THU Committee of CPC, Fang Minglun, President of the Shanghai Alumni Association, and Zhangquan, Director of the Shanghai Environmental Protection Buraeu, attended this ceremony. Chen Xu introduced the recent developments and long-term goals of THU. Fang Minglun delivered a congratulatory speech to the forum. Yu Gang, Dean of SOE, gave a report on environmental cooperation and He Kebin, Professors of SOE,  gave a report on the PM2.5. XieRongxing, an expert on the capital market in China, talked about the relationship between the environment and the capital, and Zhang Quan delivered a presentation on the 12th five-year environmental plan of Shanghai. Attendees discussed the issues of the PM 2.5 over the forum.

Du Pengfei, Secretary of SOE Committee of CPC, presided over the ceremony. The meeting was also co-hosted by THU Shanghai Alumni Association and SOE and sponsored by the SOE East China Alumni Association. More than 500 Alumni were present at the forum.
