China Council member for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) 2011 Annual General Meeting and 20th Anniversary Open Forum was held on November 15-17 at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Beijing. Li Keqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, Vice Premier of the State Council, Chairman of CCICED, attended the ceremony and gave an address.

Academician Hao Jiming from SOE was awarded a medal, as the representative of the Chinese member of the 4th CCICED. The prize was to honor the members of CCICED for the contributions that they had made for the Chinese environmental development.

CCICED is a high level, non-profit international advisory body established upon the approval of the Chinese Government in 1992. CCICED has become an important place for the opening of Chinese environment to the outside world and an important platform for the Chinese and foreign environmental communication and cooperation. With re-election of CCICED members once every five years, CCICED is composed of 40-50 Chinese and International Council Members during each phase. The Chinese government has approved the Fourth Phase of CCICED (2007-2011).
