In June, 2011, Class 82 of SOE stood out from many candidate classes and was honored as one of the Advanced Class of Tsinghua University in June.

    Class 82 emphasized the framework of class ideological building, focused on Party lesson study group and laid a good foundation for class building. Students in Class 82 took the first place of average GPA in grade for successive five semesters and more than 90% of students had joined in various kinds of scientific researches and were awarded by several types of competitions and scholarships in school, along with the honor of the class of excellent study style for the consecutive two years. They also made full use of their spare time to take part in all kinds of volunteer and practice activities, which could strengthen their awareness of serving the society and expand their scope of knowledge.
