The 60th Academic Solon of Environment invited Dr. Xu Ming from University of Michigan to give a lecture on “International Trade and Carbon Footprint” on April 26. Professor Zhang Tianzhu hosted the salon.

    Xu, graduated from Tsinghua University, is now an assistant professor of the University of Michigan. In the lecture, he first introduced his research which employed environmental inputoutput analysis to international trade. He then shared the carbon emission data in China’s export trade when labor force was taken into account. He also introduced the international economy research based on complex network analysis, research of urban system using Agent based method, and the research of energy system using life cycle analysis.
