The 3rd consulting meeting of New Strategic Framework of was held in International Environment House in Geneva from Feb 8th to 9th. More than 30 representatives from five regional centers of UN and secretariats attended the meeting. The meeting mainly discussed the implementation and assessment of the New Strategy. DU Kexiong from the Ministry of Environmental Protection of PRC, and Executive Secretary LI Jinhui of Basel Convention Coordinating Centre for Asia and Pacific were invited to the meeting to address on the legislation and establishment of national management plan on hazardous wastes, the separation assessment of input and output of the Strategic Framework in developing countries. Their statements were approved by the attendants.
