Environmental economics is an important branch formed at the intersection of environmental disciplines and economics, emphasizing the use of economics to understand environmental problems and design solutions. This course covers the basic theories and concepts of environmental economics, with a focus on the analytical methods, modelling tools and their application to environmental economic systems. The main contents include basic concepts and theories of environmental economics, methods of economic assessment of environmental values, criteria for environmental policy assessment, methods of modelling environmental economic systems and case studies. This course aims to improve postgraduate students' ability to learn environmental economics theory and master environmental economic analysis methods, so that they can systematically analyze and solve relevant environmental problems from a theoretical height and practical application level.
