课程简介：课程教学内容：大气和固体废物处理技术近年来得到了长足的发展，本课程将重点介绍环境工程概要，大气部分包括全球气候变化预测和控制技术、大气污染物的控制技术、亚洲国家的大气污染控制历程和最新进展；固体废物部分包括中国、日本、马来西亚的固体废物热点问题及主要处理处置技术。与此同时，课程将开设学生报告与讨论课，以提高学生提出问题与解决问题的能力，交流能力。教学目标：（1）使学生了解大气和固体废物治理领域的发展历史和最新技术；（2）培养学生提出问题和解决问题的能力，提高英语交流能力。

Atmospheric and solid waste treatment techniques have developed rapidly in recent years both in developed and developing countries. This course will introduce the current environmental issues & development as well as cutting-edge technologies of air pollution control and waste management. The atmosphere part includes the forecast and control technology of global climate change, the control technology of atmospheric pollutants, the history and recent progress of atmospheric pollution control in Asian countries. The section on solid waste covers the hot issues and major treatment and disposal technologies in China, Japan, and Malaysia. In addition, presentation and discussion sessions will be held in order to improve students' problem-posing and problem-solving skills and communication capability (in English). The course aims to (1) introduce the development history and the latest technology in the field of atmosphere and solid waste management; (2) cultivate their problem-posing and problem-solving skills in full English education.
