Zhu Wanpeng started working at Tsinghua University in 1971 after graduating from the same university, engaging in teaching, research and administration management at the Division of Water Supply and Drainage and the Division of Environmental Chemistry within the Department of Environmental Engineering. His research interests included theory and technology of physical and chemical treatment of water, utilization and recycling of environmental pollutants, etc. He retired as a professor in 2009.
