Wang Genfeng started working at Tsinghua University in 1965. Later, she was transferred to the Division of Water Supply and Drainage within the Department of Environmental Engineering, teaching experiment course. She also worked at the Office of Environmental Protection, responsible for the grround water quality monitoring in Tsinghua Park and environmental protection work on campus. She retired in 2001.
