Yang Jisheng started working at the Division of Nuclear Environment within the Department of Environmental Engineering, Tsinghua University in 1959 after graduating from the same university.He later became the director of the Environmental Engineering State Key Laboratory. His research focus included purification technology of pollutant gases, instrumental analysis, etc. He retired as an associate professor in 1997.
