He started working at the Department of Environmental Engineering in 1977, engaging in research on water supply and drainage engineering, water pollution control technology, environmental engineering technology and economy. His major research focus included sustainbale urban, rural and industrial water supply and drainage technology. He retired as an associate professor in 2023.
