Zhang Xu started working at the Department of Environmental Engineering in 1988, engaging in research on surface water, groundwater and soil pollution control and remediation, to be more specific, polluted groundwater remediation and inferior water purification technology, contaminated soil remediation technology and non-point source pollution control technology. She retired as an associate professor in 2023.
