Zhang Xiaojian started working at the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Environmental Engineering in 1981, engaging in the research on drinking water treatment theory and technology, urban water supply emergency treatment technology, water supply network water quality stability control theory and technology, drinking water safety disinfection theory and technology, water environment and water resources. He retired as a professor in 2019.
