Reported by Jiang Yiqi and Li Yue on 5 June, 2017, on June 1st 4pm local time, the closing ceremony of the Spring Semester in Venice International University (VIU) was held in Aula Magn, summing up the whole semester and giving award to students.

At the beginning of the ceremony, three artists performed a concert with dancing, named “emotion change”, to all the participants. The performance was performed in a variety of forms and full of Venetian characteristics, leading the audience to the tranquility of nature.

After the concert, Professor Luca Pes, the Dean of VI, first sum up the semester with his humor. He stated that although VIU is small, the collision of cultures was intense because there were more than a hundred teachers and students coming from dozens of countries in four continents. Besides teaching in class, various field trips were also organized. He wished all of us gained something during the days in VIU and that VIU will provide us with internship and studying in all field. He said all of us belong to VIU, and VIU belongs to us.

Professors and invited scholars who made outstanding contributions are announced and awarded by Professor Pes. Also, six students with outstanding performance of the while semester were awarded. Among them, Guo Shenjie, Shi Guang, Zhang Junyu from GEP2014 were given the Outstanding Graduates Award.

At the end, a video with all the photos of important activities was played, recording out precious moments in Venice. Students from GEP2014 are often seen in the movie. This exchange experience benefits everyone during their university life.
