“The 9th Water Strategy Forum”,  jointly sponsored by Tsinghua University and H2O-China, convened in Beijing Friendship Hotel between March 24th and 25th, 2011. As one of the centennial celebration activities of the School, the forum covered the whole chains of environmental industry, and atrracted more than 800 people of managers, policy experts, scientific researchers and corporation leaders. Conference participants discussed hot topics of policies, market, industry, realized expert association at the most high-end and collision of intelligence, established the most influential platform for government and industry communication. 

  ZHAO Hualin, Director of Pollution Prevention Department, Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP), WANG Kaiyu, section chief of Technology Division Department of Science and Technology and Standards, MEP, SHI Yubo, section chief of Urban Water Bureau Water Resources Department, Ministry of Water Resources described respectively the pollutant reduction plan during the period of the ‘12th Five Year Plan’, the water environment industry development with ‘national water pollution control and management technology major projects’ promoted by ‘12th Five’, theory and practice of the most stringent water resource management system and so on. Many professors of SOE attended the conference, together with participants from the industry looked into the prospect of sustainable development of the urban water industry in China.
