On November 13, 2010, the opening ceremony of Tsinghua-Veolia Environment and Urban Management Advanced Program (EUMAP) was held in Sino-Itlian Environment and Energy Building of Tsinghua University. Mr. Luc Zeller, CFO of Veolia Environnement Asia, and Pr. Yu Gang, Dean of the Department of Environmental Science & Engineering of Tsinghua University attended the opening ceremony and, on behalf of the sponsors, addressed the ceremony. Alao attended were this year’s 12 program participants from seven provinces of China. 

The sponsors say this year’s training will last eight days in two sessions. The first session, held in Tsinghua University, will offer lectures on environmental assessment, environmental strategies in the 12th five year period and other instrumental topics given by professors and experts. The second session will be held in Paris of France, during which environment experts from Europe and officials of French municipal administration will discuss with trainees the environment and urban management systems of France and other European countries.
