Dr. Huang Changfeng donated 3.6 million US dollars to the Center for Advanced Study recently.

A ceremony for the donation was held on April 5. Tsinghua President Gu Binglin, Professor C.N.Yang, honorary director of the Center, Professor Chia-chiao Lin, honorary director of the Zhou Pei-Yuan Center for Applied Mathematics, and Dr. Huang Changfeng attended the afternoon event.

The Huang Jibei Lu Kaiqun Chair Professorship, which is named after Dr. Haung’s parents, was also established in the Center for Advanced Study. Professor C.N.Yang, a Nobel-Prize-winning physicist, was appointed the first Huang Jibei Lu Kaiqun Chair Professor.
