The Bellevue Community College (BCC) Jazz Band wowed Tsinghua music-lovers for the third time since 2002 with a performance on March 28.
The concert attracted more than 600 Tsinghua students. On the program were such classics as “Girl Talk” and “Body and Soul”, which gave the audience a good taste of the popular American musical form.
“(Jazz) is a kind of relax, personal, cheerful, and happy music,” said BCC Director Hal Sherman. He said the concert offered a good chance for people to exchange ideas and culture.
The BCC Jazz Band has performed for audiences in Berlin and Munich.
The band, based in the state of Washington, gave shows at Tsinghua in 2002 and 2003.
