(Tsinghua News Center) “I can’t speak Chinese, but I can speak English very slow”. On the evening of 12th April, Nicholas Negroponte, a well-known American futurologist and the director of MIT's Media Lab, came to Tsinghua University and made a speech titled Being Digital and the Development of Internet in China.

In his speech, Professor Negroponte mainly talked about the current development of Tel-communication and innovation. He discussed the so-called 3 major revolutions in Tel-communication in detail.

Before Professor Negroponte’s speech, Dr. Charles Zhang, SOHU's president and CEO, recalled his experience in Tsinghua and MIT, and told many unbeknown stories about Negroponte and sohu.com.

This activity was organized by the Sohu.com and the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. The School will hold a celebration for its 20th anniversary of establishment this Sunday. A series of academic reports and forums are under schedule.
