Six teachers and nine alumni of Tsinghua University newly elected as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering

On November 22nd, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering announced the results of academician election in 2019. Professor Li Jinghong of the Department of Chemistry, Professor Dong Chen of the School of Medicine, Professor Xie Daoxin of the School of Life Sciences, and Professor Zheng Quanshui of the School of Aerospace Engineering, Tsinghua University, were elected as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Zheng Weimin of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, and Professor Zhuang Weimin of the School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, were elected as academicians of the Chinese Academy of engineering.

In addition, nine alumni were elected as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
