2012 Graduate Student Spring Commencement Ceremony

More than 1,200 graduate students received degrees at Tsinghua University's 2012 Spring Graduate Commencement Ceremony on the morning of January 17th. Among them, 328 earned doctorates and 909 received master's degrees.

Tsinghua President Gu Binglin and University Council Chairman Hu Heping, together with other university leaders, presented degrees and certificates to the new graduates.

President Gu delivered the commencement address. On behalf of the University, he congratulated the graduates and commended them for their hard work and their contributions to the development of Tsinghua. He encouraged the students to continue to learn throughout their lives and stick to their ideals. He hoped that the students would bear Tsinghua mottos in mind and contribute to the development of the nation.
