French President Nicolas Sarkozy visited Tsinghua University and delivered a speech on climate change in the Auditorium of Tsinghua on November 27.

Tsinghua President Gu Binglin met and had a talk with President Sarkozy prior to the speech. Also attending the talk were Minister of Education Zhou Ji, Mr. Hervé Ladsous, French Ambassador to China, Mr. Zhao Jinjun, Chinese Ambassador to France, and Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe.

The French Culture and Technology Week at Tsinghua opened at the Main Building on the morning of that day.
