Deng Yaping, a former Tsinghua student who won 18 world table tennis championships in her professional career, returned to the university February 28 to attend a ceremony marking the publication of her first book, From Bound Feet to Olympic Gold in China: The Case of Women’s Table Tennis. The book is based on a thesis she wrote while attending the University of Nottingham.
