Harvard's Lieber named honorary professor

Internationally known chemist Charles M. Lieber, a professor of chemistry at Harvard University, was appointed an honorary professor of Tsinghua University on Nov. 8.

As one of the pioneers in the fields of nanoscience and nanotechnlogy, Professor Lieber has received over 30 awards, including President's Youth Award (U.S.), the Feynman Award in Nanotechnology 2001, James C. McGroddy Prize in New Materials 2002 of American Physical Society, the Pure Chemistry Award of the American Chemical Society, and the Leo Hendrik Baekeland Award.

Professor Lieber has published more than 40 research papers in the prestigious magazines "Science" and "Nature."
