On December 10, 2021, to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Central Talent Work Conference and the requirements of the Tsinghua University Talent Work Conference, and to actively promote high-quality substantive development in the implementation of the talent-strengthening strategy for the new era, the Precision Instrument Department convened a Talent Work Conference. The meeting was attended by more than 20 people, including Zhao Yongqing, Deputy Director of the Personnel Office of Tsinghua University, Duan Jiangfei, Deputy Director of the Arts and Sciences Office, Cai Siyi from the Development Planning Office, Liu Qiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Precision Instrument Department, Ouyang Zheng, the department head, and heads of various research institutes. The meeting was chaired by Liu Qiang.
At the beginning of the meeting, Liu Qiang and Wu Guanhao, the deputy party secretary of the department, conveyed the spirit of the Central Talent Work Conference and the school's Talent Work Conference. Subsequently, Zhang Gaofei, the deputy head of the department, reviewed the current status of the talent team, compared and analyzed the situation of the talent echelon in the Precision Instrument Department with key domestic and international institutions, deeply analyzed existing issues, and proposed measures and objectives for talent team construction.
During the discussion session, in line with the school's requirements to build a world-class university and in conjunction with the "14th Five-Year" development plan of the Precision Instrument Department focusing on high-level discipline construction and faculty team building, participants actively spoke and exchanged experiences in talent team building at various research institutes, analyzing the current situation and challenges faced.
In accordance with the university's deployment, the Precision Instrument Department had previously carried out the "14th Five-Year" development planning and talent team building planning work and conducted a detailed personnel inventory. In line with the key measures of the "14th Five-Year" plan, the Precision Instrument Department will gradually implement the talent team building strategy in the future, laying a solid talent foundation for the development of the department.
